Lianne Sanderson is a former English professional footballer who played primarily as a forward. She was born on February 3, 1988, in Lewisham, London.
Sanderson began her career at Arsenal, where she won multiple domestic league and cup titles. She also had successful stints at Chelsea, as well as clubs in the United States, Spain, and Cyprus.
Internationally, Sanderson represented England at various youth levels before making her senior debut in 2006. She went on to earn 50 caps for the England senior team, scoring 15 goals.
In addition to her playing career, Sanderson has also worked as a football pundit and commentator for various media outlets. She has been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and equal pay in women's football.
